MASTERCLASS - Nature Illustration

Join illustrator Viola Wang at the Spurn Migration Festival for a hands-on workshop where you'll get an overview of how to capture nature through expressive, character-rich illustration, before creating and printing your own nature-inspired designs. In this session, you'll discover the art of block printing and how to apply it to your clothes, tote bags, notebooks – or any surface! You can choose to print directly onto your items or learn how to create and sew on a custom fabric patch. It's a fantastic way to upcycle your favourite pieces and give them a unique, artistic touch. Viola has also prepared some pre-designed blocks for you to use if you prefer.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring a piece of clothing or a bag you'd like to transform. This is also an opportunity to chat with Viola about her recent work, including her colorful illustrations and the animation for the BTO's new campaign. Come get creative and take a piece of art home with you!
